Talbot Women Through the Centuries

Celebrate the weekend of International Women’s Day with a wine reception followed by a tour specially designed to celebrate the women who lived in Malahide Castle through the years.

To celebrate the weekend of International Women’s Day, Malahide Castle invite you to celebrate the lives of the women who lived in the castle. What better way to celebrate International Women’s Day than with a cheese & wine reception in one of Ireland’s most historic castles. Following the reception, take our special one-off tour to learn about the Talbot women who occupied Malahide Castle, from Maud Talbot who is still said to haunt the castle, to Rose Talbot who was the last Talbot woman to occupy the castle.

The reception will take place at 6:30pm with the tour commencing at approximately 7:30pm. Along the way, learn about the female ghosts of the castle, the plush parties the Talbot ladies of Malahide Castle held and the hobbies and lives of women in this era.
