Fun-filled days out for primary schools
"The children had a great day." - Carmel, Dublin Principal
"One of our SNAs said it was the best tour she had been on in her 21 years going on school tours." - Lorna, Dublin Teacher
Explore the 800-year-old castle with a guided tour designed especially for primary school students. See the rooms where the Lords and Ladies of Malahide lived for hundreds of years, hear tales of battles and banquets and learn more about the infamous Malahide Castle ghosts!
Then continue the fun outdoors. Younger students can get caught up in the magic of our fun woodland Fairy Trail while nature-loving students will adore the Butterfly House. It’s the only one in the Republic of Ireland and it’s right here in our Walled Garden. Watch the colourful creatures flutter their wings and see how many of the 20 different species your students can pick out.
Engaging for a wide variety of age groups, our school tours include:
Just 15 minutes by coach from Malahide, the working farm at Newbridge is an ideal extra destination on your school tour.

Please note: final numbers for all tours must be confirmed three days in advance of the tour date. Cancellations or changes made after this point will be non-refundable. Although we will endeavour to accommodate late arrivals, this may not always be possible and we ask schools to arrive on time for their allocated slots.
