I was honestly shocked at how much I enjoyed the Malahide Castle and Gardens. It is just minutes from the airport which is why we picked it for our first day in Ireland to try and stay awake after a long flight from the states. The gardens were stunning and the castle was a nice way to start our trip. Highly recommend, especially since you can enter the gardens for free and spend time acclimating your body to the time zone! Don't miss the restaurant! We had sweets and savory dishes for lunch on the patio and all enjoyed our food.
